We met and continued to e-mail until he decided to move to California. I have talked with the other one from my town on the phone, but haven't met him as of yet. A few of the ones that I had contacted are still in touch with me from time to time. A couple of the guys exchanged phone numbers with me. We kept on writing, and between the two, an online relationship began. I was interested in one man in particular, who lived in GA. I have some relatives who live in GA. For some reason we hit it off very fast, and then the relationship began faltering. He had eased up on the communications that he thought was important in any relationship.

The other man kept up the communication. When he found out that I wanted to go to GA for my somewhere new to go to once a year trip, he invited me down to his place for a couple of days. He said he was familiar with Atlanta, which is where I wanted to go. After much communication, phone calls, and exchanging pictures, and other information, I got on a bus and went to meet him.......

We had previously discussed the sex issue, and questions. I laid out all my cards on the table, explicitly, 'no sexual intercourse relationship, or let's do it situations.' He kept his word saying 'sex' had to be mutual and consenting.

My family had all his pertinent information, as well as an ex-boyfriend of mine who is a policeman. As I mentioned before, he kept his word, and I kept mine. However, I wasn't expecting for this man to slowly seduce me over a four day period to a 'mutual consent'. He treated me like a woman, making me feel very very special.

He was more romantic in that 10 day period than my ex-husband of 15 yrs! This man was so gentle, caressing, and sexy, that almost every day I was weakening in my resolve, but I managed to stay somewhat 'weakly'

focused. We didn't share the same bed at night. He slept on his sofa, or pulled it out the bed when we were together.

I did see Atlanta, he took me on a walk and a tour by car. We listened to Kenny G. coming back on a star drenched sky, saw the sunset, told jokes, and enjoyed each other's company. We got into a verbal discussion as to why I wouldn't be fully intimate, and why it took so long for me to respond to his romantic overtures of plenty of hugs.

One night it was intimately lopsided and I gave him a little piece of my mind, but in the last few days, he centered all his attention on of only pleasing me. He saw me safely back on the bus, and had a message waiting for me on the e-mail when I arrived home. We continued to exchange e-mail for exactly one week after I got home. He said he would chat with me the next day on the (ICQ chat) as our usual custom. He didn't show up, didn't return any of the signals we set up to get the other one online. Didn't return any phone calls , or e-mails...

So.....do online relationships work? You be the judge..... I don't know, ... but what I do know.... is: I found out whether your body is a knockout, or out of shape, there are some men that can still make you feel real good, and sexy ,and special. It was an eye opener for me too. Helped me to regain some of my repressed self esteem that my ex-hubby almost allowed me to put out of existence.

I know now... what I will stand for and won't allow. How I want to be touched and loved. I know now that I don't have to settle for less, just because a 'man' is talking to me. He did an excellent job, almost too good of one.. Why? because when I got back home, I emailed the guy who I originally wanted to 'see', and told him I was in his State, and he missed out on the pleasure of meeting me. He wrote back and said "wow" I wished I had known. He gave me his phone # and I called a few times, missed him, and finally connected. He promised to call back twice that evening...never did. Adios time...... My romantic friend.... well it's Au revoir..... me ... Hey I took an adventure, had fun, enjoyed it, came back feeling good about myself and even better for... not doing it. I'm proud of myself!

Yes I'm still looking for my best friend... when we marry ..He'll have my 100%. And I bet he will feel real good, that his wife SAVED it just for him....
